About Sakara -

Sakara is just my online name, my birth name is Kristen and i was born in Cardiff, Wales. I studied fashion design at University of Wales and specialised in costume for my final year as I had more a leaning towards that than high fashion. I've loved making and wearing costumes since I was a child,  my first costume was Wilma Deering from Buck Rogers, when I was 7 years old! But it wasn't until I went to University that my love of costume making really came out though.

A few years back I set up costume making as a business under the name Darksidecostumes, but sadly due to a worsening health problem I had to stop it and now I only make for myself as a hobby. I do not take commissions so please don't ask. I will offer advice on any costume I've made though, to help those wishing to tackle them themselves!!

I also do alt modelling, that is gothic and fantasy modelling and I've found my costume hobby has leaked into that and visas versa.
